30 Before 30: Catchup #1

30 Before 30

I posted my 30 before 30 list at the start of March. A month on and I thought I would report back on a few of the things from my list that I have either achieved, or have plans to achieve in the next few months. We all know I love a good list so of course it’ll be approached in that format..!

#2 Pay off my credit card and loan

This is happening now. I’m hoping I’ll have all, or at least the majority, of both my credit card and loan paid off by the end of this year. Debt free here I come!

#5. Go on a beach holiday

We’re jetting away to the Dominican Republic in 18 days exactly! I can’t wait to have 2 weeks all inclusive luxury in the sun with the boy, sat on a beach with a cocktail in my hand with no worries!

#6. Try snorkelling

I’m intending to give snorkelling a go in the Caribbean, can’t believe I haven’t done it sooner. We have a GoPro now so hoping to get some awesome pictures!

#8. Rock out at a music festival for a weekend

We have tickets to V Festival in August! I went to my first V¬†festival last year and LOVED it. It’s shocking that it’s taken this long for me to go to V considering I live a matter of 20 minutes away from Weston Park, although like last year I plan to camp the full weekend. I can’t see it being the same without it! The line up this year looks amazing so far.

#21. Go to the F1 in Silverstone

I bought Aaron tickets for the F1 in Silverstone for his Christmas present and lucky enough to be going with him. We’ve got camping tickets so will be there the whole weekend from Thursday to Sunday, reading up the camping seems to be part of the experience with live bands etc. on! I’ve never been a huge F1 follower but I’ve grown up watching it so it’ll be a great experience I’m sure.

#27. See a film in IMAX

YES! I can tick this one off as DONE. I saw my first film in IMAX last week, and what a good one it was; Fast & Furious 7 <3

Not off to a bad start so far!

Do you have a list that you’re looking to achieve for a certain birthday or by a specific date?

I’ve been to V three times, camped the fiirst time then just caught the shuttle bus from here each day for the other two times.
I’ve been to Silverstone once before and we are going this year for the whole weekend. Not camping though because the experience was enough to put us off for life! The weather was awful and there were actual rivers running through the camp because of the rain!!

You’ve totally made me worried about the F1 now as we’ll be camping lol. Just praying for nice weather!! Are you going to V this year too? x

      • 26th April 2015 / 8:37 pm

I’m sure that was just a fluke with the weather. Are you seated or in general admission? No, not going to V, last time I went was 2012. I’d love to go to Isle of Wight one day – they always seem to have great bands on!

        • 26th April 2015 / 9:13 pm

Just general admission, first time so want to be able to move around. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not! X

          • 26th April 2015 / 9:17 pm

We couldn’t see anything but we only went onto the big bit of grass not far from where you get to the circuit from the campsite, probably worth checking out the other viewpoints around the circuit! On the other days you can sit in the stands.

Lovely post! Have an amazing time in the Dominican Republic, that sounds incredible, I can’t wait to see your snorkelling photos!! I have my 24 before 24 list up on my blog too if you want to check it out! Becci xxx

Thanks Becci! I can’t wait now. I’ll check out your 24 before 24 list (so wish mine was that instead hah!) x

  3. 19th April 2015 / 7:29 pm

Lovely post! I’m 30 in 15 days, and have been posting a fact a day for 15 days now. I’m finding out things I never knew before! Xxx

    • 26th April 2015 / 1:23 pm

That’s a great idea, will head over and check it out. Happy early 30th! x

I’d love to go to Bestival, always sounds so good! It’s just such a trek from where I am, and V is so convenient! You’ll have an amazing time at both Glastonbury & Bestival though x

I love that you followed up with your list! I love looking at bucket lists and never have seen anyone come back around and said whether they did any of them or not.
