WeddingPlanning

In case you missed it, we got engaged in May! And then crazily (this is typical Aaron & I) we decided to book our wedding for November of this year. Since then life has pretty much been a non-stop whirlwind of wedding planning, but now as it’s gradually starting to slow up I finally have some spare time in front of my laptop that isn’t looking for florists, wedding cake suppliers, bridesmaid dresses, suit options, centrepiece ideas, decoration ideas, favours, and the like. So yes, it’s time for me to start sharing some of the planning with you, and how I’ve approached it. And if you’re newly engaged (or just in love with weddings as I was before Aaron popped the question), hopefully this post will give you some pointers and assure you that, really, it isn’t that stressful. Or at least it doesn’t have to be.

IMG_4026Yesterday I finally made my way down to London with a group of friends to visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour, The Making of Harry Potter. Something that’s on my 30 before 30 list, and something I’ve wanted to do since the tour started. Harry Potter has been in my life ever since my godmother bought me The Philosopher’s Stone book for my 10th birthday; since then I was hooked, making my way through all the books during my early teens, watching the films as soon as they came at the cinema. Seeing the sets, all the props, and how it actually all came together was a truly magical and emotional day.

Firstly, how are we even in June? This year is literally disappearing. Although we’re already a few weeks into June and I’m a little late in getting this posted, I want to get back to having some monthly goals listed to give me some focus. I love a good list, and having something out there makes me more determined to achieve what I set out to do.

Its been too long, little blog. Two months have literally disappeared to weekends of friends visiting, football matches, upping my gym routine in preparation for our holiday, hen parties, charity 5k running events, and our actual holiday. Teaming all that with generally catching up with friends & family and the hours and days just go. It really has been a great couple of months and I wouldn’t change it, although I do wish at the end of the day when I’m lounging on the sofa struggling to keep my eyes open, I had that little bit of motivation and energy to power up the laptop and get a new post written up. I miss my little side of the internet, and I’m determined the dedicate some more time to it, to get back into a regular(ish) blogging routine and find my love for it again. So to start it all off, lets get you up to date with what has been taking my time away from you! This may be a little picture heavy..

Charity 5k Runs

runcollage2.jpgAt the end of April I took part in the Race for Life 5k Pretty Muddy; hilarious hour or so with your girl friends, what could be better! 100% recommend this event to anyone. Second up was a 5k local Colour Run with a team of work mates; so much fun getting covered head to toe in powered paint! Both these events have JustGiving pages still open – anything you can spare would be gratefully appreciated by both these incredible charities!
